This is a classic ride in the old pueblo. The verticle rise on the climb is large but if you are in good shape the loop discribed can be completed in under 2 hrs. Try adding the upper loop or the upper extended loop as described in the "mountain biking the old pueblo" guide book. I rode this trail back in the early 90s with a hard-tail that had about an inch of travel on the front fork. I can't image that the even Jack-hammer Hill would be too bad with a nice FS XC rig and with a "free-ride" bike, no problem. It has been a while so maybe the trail has changed. aerobic difficulty is a four only because there are longer more difficult versions of the ride described. - trails.mtbr.com
