Difficulty: 2
Distance: 24 Miles
Time: 4 Hours
Description:
This is a winding, rutted road with moderate climbs and descents, narrow in a few places. After monsoon rains, many areas can be badly washed out which will require trail building. While the road is well defined most of the way, one section crosses a low sandy area along the Gila River. After rains, it is difficult to find the trail. Skid plates and high ground clearance recommended for stock vehicles. Desert pin striping is a good possibility.
This is a photographer’s dream. In every direction you will find beautiful Sonoran Desert with towering red buttes on all sides of the trail. This is a fun drive offering read adventure. Hiking into nearby White Canyon Wilderness area north of the trail is available.
